Beautiful parcels from friends I’ve never met…

from Erin at house on hill road
(how did she know that ribbon would make my heart skip?)
Coming home from work, tired and stressed, to find my precious daughter making sushi for dinner…

Those of you with toddlers - there IS hope!

Lucky You!
Is that your daughter that shares a name with me?
Unfortunately the next step is they leave home all grown up - which is both good and bad - cause you miss them lots!
You don’t miss the washing and sports practise and stuff like that but mine were both wonderful bright kids who were my friends and I liked being both their friend and their Mum.

Isn’t Adorn nice? I’ve only been able to get my hands on one issue but it was great…wish it were bigger though! =) I actually found Craft: at my newsagents too but it was about $25 and the same size as Adorn, eep!
That sushi looks GOOD! Mine always turns out a mess, but still very yummy =P
PS. Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous!

I wish she would come make me sushi! Glad you liked the goodies. I thought the article on bias tape in MS was a good one.

Does she want a free working holiday in good old NZ?? Just got the new edition of NZ Quilter today. Your yo yo bag is in there! I have heaps of these things made somewhere, now where did I put them?

Kirsty,
Hi again
I have nominated you for the “8 random things” tag. Please ignore and don’t do it if you don’t want to, or if you’ve done it before and/or are totally bored by the whole thing.

YUMMERS!
I really enjoy your blog! Your daughter is so cute and so focused with her task. I just saw Adorn at the bookstore last night, but didn’t take the time to browse through it as my husband was in the checkout line already. Did get to a fabric store today (see my blog) and was totally overwhelmed… but not enough to stop me from finding lots of goodies to buy.

Oh, goodness. One day they’re home from the hospital in tiny blankets and the next they’re fixing sushi. Where does the time go?
The magazine looks yummy. I think Australia and the UK have better publications in many ways.

Aw, if I can turn out even one sushi chef…. Heck, I’ll settle for a Grilled Cheese Meister. Thanks for the encouragement!
