I’m not a knitter. Really, I’m not. I know how to do purl and plain but I don’t know how to read patterns. I don’t even like knitting very much. But what could anyone do when faced with Noro yarn? The stuff is amazing. I started looking on flickr. What a mistake that was. Look at this and this and this(clever Caro!) and this(the most INCREDIBLE model ever! What a babe!)…
Then I went to the craft show with a whole group of Bad Influences. Well, Good Bye cash! I’ve been knitting for hours and hours and hours. Cast on 80 stitches on big needles (6.5 mm) and just purl and plain, purl and plain, purl and plain…

…four rows of Kureyon (colour 95) and four rows of Blossom (colour 15). Only 489 hours to go until it becomes a wrap or little blankie for snuggling under on the sofa…
…did I mention that I’m a slow knitter, too?
For all that I adore this stuff, I have a fickle heart and, ooh! look at this…and this…and this…and this…. It would be so much sweeter to make a snuggle wrap from something spun with the love of one these home spinners, wouldn’t it?
Maybe the next project. In about 2024.

Ooh I faithfully clicked on each link to see what you’ve been gazing at and was thrilled and flattered to see one of mine there!
Thank you!
I dyed a gazillion skeins today, mainly sock yarns but some others too, so watch out for a shop update soon.

That model’s got the biggest eyes ever – gorgeous!! I’m with you on the knitting thing – who writes those patterns! And the only reason I’m learning to knit is because I just have to have some Noro and Rowan…the colours and textures make me go weak at the knees!

Lovely!
I loved to knit, but not in English… I don’t understand the K1 P1. It’s much more easy in Dutch. Maybe you should try!

I really shouldn’t have clicked on those links. Yesterday I saw the beautiful yarns that Frogdancer has bought and now those. Aaaargh.
Your knitting BTW is lovely. Beautiful colours.

Hi Kirsty, We are lucky here in Finland, because we learn to knit already at school! As you know we really need wollen socks and clothing in wintertime. I know knitting terms in Finnish and Swedish well, so there are still many languages to learn in knitting!
Those yarns are so lovely! Let me know, if you need wollen socks!!! Happy Easter!

Wow, that Noro yarn is gorgeous, so is your knitting. Perhaps I could get hooked on knitting after all. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

OMG. If you are NOT a knitter, then I am NOT a person. That’s amazing!

I can knit but I don’t. It requires too much concentration and my tongue has to be stuck out. And it makes me grumpy.
However, all those lovely colours might make me start again…

I love Noro yarn! And I love the colours that you are creating….don’t worry – I am probably the world’s slowest knitter!
